«Savoy Development» Limited (hereinafter also referred to as «Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa», «Hotel», «we», «us», «our») has created this privacy policy to safeguard the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy policy (hereinafter also referred to as «Policy»), complying with applicable data protection and privacy laws, sets out how we will treat your personal information.

By using any of our products or services and/or by agreeing to this Policy, e.g. in the context of registering for any of our products or services, you understand and acknowledge that we will collect and use personal information as described in this Policy.

Please note that this Policy does not apply to our processing of personal information on behalf of and subject to the instructions of third parties such as airlines, car rental companies and other service providers, companies that organize or offer packaged travel arrangements, marketing partners, or corporate customers.

1. Personal Information we collect

We collect your personal information at every touch point or guest interaction, and in conducting every aspect of our business, including: when you make a reservation through our booking system, written or verbal communications with us, visit our website, our properties or stay at Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa, or from other sources. Collected information may include: name, gender, day of birth, passport details, nationality, email address, phone number, home and business address, payment card details, details of co-travelers or associated companies or groups, travel dates, hotel room preferences, special requests or requirements.

We collect additional personal information during registration/check-in at our Hotel, including such information as may be required by local laws. We may also use closed circuit television and other security measures at our properties that may capture or record images of guests and visitors in public areas, as well as information related to your location while on our properties (via keycards and other technologies). We may also use closed-circuit television and other technologies that record sound or video for the protection of our staff, guests and visitors to our properties where permitted by law.

We may collect personal information in connection with on-property services, such as spa centers, gym clubs, and child care services. In case you hold the event in our hotel we collect the date of the event, number of guests, meeting and event specifications, information about your organization (for corporate events). 

When you use WiFi service at our property, the personal data you provide for access and authentication may be collected and used by us and third parties such as authentication gateway partners and WiFi service providers to facilitate your use of the WiFi service; to remember your registration information; for technical support purposes; and for service improvements and analytics. The personal data collected may include name, room number, and device information (including device name, operating system/version, hardware model and unique device identifiers such as MAC address). Absent your consent, personal data collected during this process will not be used for direct marketing purposes.

You do not have to provide us with your information although in some cases, if you do not, it may mean that you are unable to use our services. For example, we may be unable to complete any booking you may wish to make.

In addition to the information we collect from you directly, we may also infer information about you based on the information you provide to us or from Other Information (paragraph 5) we collect.

2. How we use collected Personal Information

We use your personal data primarily to provide you services you request and to manage your booking and stay at the hotel. It may include monitoring your use of services, updating your account and processing payment, managing access to rooms, handling requests, feedback and any complaints/incidents, sending you post-stay communications and satisfaction surveys to get feedback on your experience.
Additionally, we use this information for purposes of statistical analysis to evaluate and improve our products and services.
By providing an e-mail address on the official hotel website form or when checking in to the hotel, the e-mail address can be used to contact the user to inform about special promotions at the hotel, discounts on accommodation and meals, as well as for other promotional purposes in the process of communication between the hotel and the website user or hotel guest, without the involvement of third parties.

3. Who we share collected information with

We may disclose your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy:
- To our guest connect booking engine provider in connection with your booking or purchase.
- To the third parties retained for the processing of data on our behalf, for example for the handling of guest satisfaction survey, mailing of newsletters and campaigns, data analysis, statistics, or data storage.
- To commercial partners or third party service providers, for e.g. for booking of transfers or activities as requested by yourself.
We do not disclosure personal data information unless it is required by any legal, regulatory or governmental body, or as required for any legal purpose or process, compliance with laws or similar, or in seeking to detect or prevent fraud and other crimes.

4. Sensitive information and information from children

Sensitive information is defined as information about your race, health, religion, sexual orientation and any biometric data used for the purpose of unique identification. We do not collect sensitive information except of the cases you provide it for the individual services and particular needs (for example, the provision of halal menu or disability access).

We do not intentionally collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. Kindly ask you not to allow your children to submit personal information through our website or by any other means.

5. Collection of other information

By “Other information” we mean information that does not directly identify you about your use of the site such us: browser and device information, app usage data, aggregated information and information collected through cookies, pixel tags and other technologies.
Because Other Information does not personally identify you, such information may be disclosed for any purpose where permitted by law. In some instances, we may combine Other Information with personal information. If we do combine any Other Information with personal information, the combined information will be treated by us as personal information in accordance with this Policy.

6. How we secure Personal Information

We take appropriate technical, physical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from any unauthorized access, disclosure, damage or loss of information, as we understand the importance of security of the personal information in today`s world.
Unfortunately, no method of transmission, collection and storage of information in the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however, we constantly keep on developing security safeguards to protect your personal data.

7. Retaining Personal Information

We retain personal information about you for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law. We retain personal information collected in order to fulfill guest reservations for seven years after the stay is completed. We retain other personal information for shorter periods of time if possible and if permitted by law.
We will destroy your personal information as early as practicable and in a way that the information may not be restored or reconstructed.
If printed on paper, the personal information will be destroyed in a secure manner, such as by cross-shredding or incinerating the paper documents or otherwise and, if saved in electronic form, the personal information will be destroyed by technical means to ensure the information may not be restored or reconstructed at a later time.

- you think the information is inaccurate and we need to verify it
- such processing is unlawful, but you don`t want your data to be deleted
- we no longer require such data, but you want us to retain it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims

You also have the right to data portability. We can provide you or another data controller your personal information in a commonly used, machine readable format. Data portability rights apply only to personal information that we have obtained directly from you and only where our processing is based on consent or the performance of a contract.

Automated decisions (without human interference) are made with the use of segmentation to offer you special benefits such as discounted room rates or packages based on your geography, behavior or demographics.

To the extent required by applicable law, you may be able to request that we inform you about the personal information we maintain about you and, where appropriate, withdraw your consent for certain data processing activity and/or request that we update, correct, delete, and/or stop processing your personal information. We will make all required updates and changes within the time specified by applicable law and as required by law. When permitted by law, we may charge an appropriate fee to cover the costs of responding to the request. Such requests may be submitted by writing to [email protected].

To protect your confidentiality, we can only respond to such requests to the email address that you have registered or otherwise provided to us. Please remember that if you make such a request, we may not be able to provide you with the same quality and variety of services to which you are accustomed.

In addition, in some circumstances based on applicable law, you may request that we cease sharing personal information about you with our business partners or that Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa cease using personal information about you by contacting us using the email address above. We will seek to honor those requests consistently with applicable law.

This Privacy Policy may be changed from time to time in response to changing legal, technical or business developments. You can tell when this document was last updated by looking at the date at the top of the Privacy Policy. Any changes will become effective upon posting of the revised Privacy Policy on the site.
